GEM SEM 2019

GEM Sem is the best conference around for those interested in Geriatrics and Emergency Medicine. It was started three years ago by a group made up of some Emergency Physicians from the ACEM Geriatrics special interest group, and other clinicians who collaborated to fill the need for continuing professional development in this field. It has gone from strength to strength. Ask anyone who has been to one how good it was.

The format includes multi-disciplinary presentations from across Geriatrics, Emergency Medicine, and other relevant specialties, with presenters from Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health. The topic choice is informed by feedback from the previous year’s conference and the theme for 2019 will be “The Hardest Questions”.

The venue will be the UTS Aerial Function Centre at UTS, Broadway in Sydney. It is a beautiful roof top setting within walking distance of Sydney’s Central Railway Station.
